Bake Sale for The Chicago Riots JRD at REP CHI, Roller Derby in Chicago.

Hi Friends,

Lyn here... But for this post, people will know me as "Scream Printer."

For the last couple of seasons I've helped coach The Chicago Outfit's little sisters, The Chicago Riots. The Chicago Massacre (team name = The Chicago Riots) is a Junior Roller Derby League for girls aged 12-17. We're trying to raise money for new jerseys and cover a bit of our practice space rent.

Come to the BAKE SALE at the shop on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25 11:30a - 3p for super tasty homemade goods. Many of us have restricted diets so in addition to "normal food" you'll find a really good variety of Gluten-Free, Vegan, and/or Nut-Free goods.

Facebook event and information is located over here.

Hot coffee will be provided by our Portage Park friends Perkolator.

Between the ages of 12 and 17? We'll teach you how to skate, game strategy, and we travel a little bit of the Midwest playing other JRD leagues. Best side-effect: you gain an incredible amount of self-confidence during your derby career and instantly have twenty+ new best friends.

Over the age of 18 and want to play roller derby?  Come to The Chicago Outfit Boot Camp in November. This one-time-a-year program is where Outfit coaches and veteran skaters teach you WFTDA minimum skills and ends with tryouts mid-December. I didn't learn to roller skate until I was 28 so you can do it, I promise.

See you on the 25th!
