I grenade Zombies

I (grenade) ZOMBIES was one of REP CHI's first designs.... and one we'll never retire.

Our friends 9 Muses Photo and make up artist Evelyn Feliciano---along with a TON of other help!---made our zombie photoshoot dreams come true.

Picture it: Long before The Walking Dead TV show, before Shaun of the Dead and Land of the Dead, in the nineteen-eighties and -nineties was a girl named Lyndsey growing up on classics like Tales from the Crypt, Friday the 13th, and the Evil Dead trilogy. Though her Gram now denies watching late evening Nightmare on Elm Street re-runs, Ly's earliest memories are that of horror movies (one in particular: the Pretty Girl Wearing Long Necklace vs. Escalator at 35:00 from The Kiss).

Admittedly not the best method of attack against zombies, a red grenade silhouette looks similar to a heart at first glance, which makes most people read this back to the wearer as "I HEART ZOMBIES."  If you buy this shirt and wear it, maybe one day you'll strike up a conversation with a stranger and discuss slow zombies vs. bathsalt zombies.  Then because of that shirt or hoodie, you later get married to them and live happily ever after.  You never know.

If we've convinced you to purchase this shirt: you can get it here.  ((please note: we only make a handful of shirts at a time so not everyone on the block will be wearing this; if we're sold out of your size, email Lyn to be put on the waitlist)).

Check out some of the behind the scene photos from that fun night, reminiscent of the shopping mall zombies in Dawn of the Dead:
